Hawk Nelson
Biography
Christian punk-pop quartet Hawk Nelson formed in Peterborough, Ontario, in 2003. Originally comprising frontman Jason Dunn, guitarist Davin Clark, bassist Daniel Biro, and drummer Matt Paige, the group's self-released debut EP, Saturday Rock Action, earned the attention of fellow Peterborough native Trevor McNevan, vocalist of Tooth and Nail label act Thousand Foot Krutch, and thanks to McNevan's cheerleading the label extended a contract offer to Hawk Nelson, who issued their full-length debut, Letters to the President, in mid-2004. That fall the band co-starred in an episode of the NBC drama American Dreams, portraying the Who and delivering a performance of the classic "My Generation." Clark and Paige exited the lineup soon after, and with new guitarist Jonathan Steingard and drummer Aaron "Sqwid" Tosti, Hawk Nelson made a cameo appearance in the 2005 Hollywood family film Yours, Mine & Ours, performing their song "Bring Em Out." Their sophomore LP, Smile, It's the End of the World, followed in the spring of 2006. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide

Hawk Nelson is one of my favorite bands. Their tunes are catchy; their lyrics are fun, clever, and singable;and their message is solid. I am under no impression that they are the greatest band to ever walk the planet, but I am a big fan. They are the music I turn on to cheer up and rock out. Go Hawk Nelson! :D

@Briane havent even heard a song about them hating on homos but that would be pretty christian of them to do so ummm Shaddap :D.
I love Hawk Nelson! My favorite song is everything you ever wanted.
I normally don't like Christian rock, which I always thought was two rights making a wrong. But I can barely tell these guys are a Christian band, so I don't mind. Their music is good.

Ummmm...I fail to see where in the bible it says that God approves of homosexualit y . . . ? ? ? Homosexualit y is a sinful lifestyle and therefore should be treated the same as murder, porn addiction, and even lying...Chri s t i a n s outrightly denouncing any who practice it. I'm not saying that we aren't supposed to love Homosexuals, but there is no reason to approve of their lifestyle CHOICE! And which songs of Hawk Nelson have "hateful lyrics about "?
Hawk Nelson is the best ever! I have seen them in concert a couple of times and I love them so much. Jason Dunn is amazing. Zero is my absolute favorite song from them!
I cannot wait until the members of this band have to face God and explain to him why they have hateful lyrics about our gay brothers and sisters of Christ.
just curious, but was that to say that christians usually have boring songs?
