The Heads
Selected Discography
I'm a big Talking Heads and David Byrne solo fan. I remember when this album came out because David actually sued to prevent them from using the name "Talking Heads" and won (hence the name new "The Heads" and the song "No Talking Just Head"). At the time, I was excited about the prospect of a new album but was very disappointed when it came out. They have a lot of guest vocalists filling-in for Byrne instead of a single replacement. The album just doesn't gel.

i have no idea why pandora puts these bands together as they are as different as can be. that said, if you like the heads (the rockin ones) and can find it, you owe it to yourself to buy their album "the time is now". it is AWESOME!! when it comes to fuzzed out stoner rock it doesn't get much better than these guys..

the heads (no talking...) have only the one cd.
the other recording (under the stress...) is a different band. it's a progressive punk band from england. |

The Heads were made up of former members of The Talking Heads (after David Byrne's head got to big for him to share the profits with them) and various other artists, including Ed Kowalczyk (Live) and Johnette Napolitano (Concrete Blonde), to name a few. The lyrics to each song were written and sung by a different singer.

The lead singer is (sounds an awful lot like, but I can't be sure it's actually him)Ed Kowalczyk of LIVE.

Found this on Wikipedia. They were the Talking Heads sans D. Byrne.
