Thanks for the enthusiasm AoA, but it was definitely not a mistake! I'm glad you enjoy the songs! The song "Transcenden c e " came about when I was listening to a lot of Gary Numan's "Pure" album, and you can hear that in it's piano+choir melody and it's chugging, drop d guitar. This is more apparent on the original version of the song on From Blood and Water, the superior version IMHO. Management made me cut a lot of keyboard from the final mix on the last album, which WAS a mistake if you ask me.

how did the song ''transcedan c e ' ' come about ? cant you just say it here-so i dont have to go to a blog ?-this is a classic cd-the best goth album in five years-i have close to a thousand cds-have heard a lot of music-the big one got away...

Onxyhawk- well said, my friend. For as long as I've been listening to them on here, I just now really started hearing Torch Song. She sounds very flat on many notes- maybe a voice more suited for folk or something? I dunno, but she is sounding flat and a bit monotone... especially where she could really wail and give ya chills down your spine... But it never comes.

2 1/2 stars - Polished sound, subdued, ethereal overtures, and rather like black licorice... sweet yet somewhat poignant. 'In Tenebris' is compotent but predictable within it's genre. There's nothing remarkable enough about their music to elevate them above crowded halls filled with similar bands. My strongest criticism is the vocalist's repeated use of flat-to-natu r a l key vocal shifts and overuse of the pentatonic scale. They are, at best, average, and could make room for further improvement.

Actually if you see this jdavyd this is one of the best bands I've heard in years. Been listening to nothing but. The beauty of her voice coupled with the power of the music is really fantastic. Been telling anyone I think may be interested. Christina is f'ing amazing. Even when she just talks at the end of Chrysalis she makes me melt. Really wish there were more videos around of you guys. An album of Chrysalis, Fear to Breathe, Transcendenc e , Havoc, Old, Glass and Cluster seems like a winner.

Unfortunatel y I only recently heard In Tenebris via Pandora. Wow really amazing music and what a voice. Look at that figure on her too! Was really disappointed to see they were no longer a group. A shame they were not more well known. They sound amazing and so original to me. Glad I found InTenebris.c o m so at least I could get their music. Shocked it wasn't on iTunes. Favorites are |

greetings in tenebris fans! i just wanted to post a quick note to say i've relaunched in tenebris dot com. now much more than an mp3 repository, i'm going to use it as a full archive of the band and it's history. i've just gotten started, and there's already some exclusive content! this is my thank you to all of you and the support you gave us over the years. i hope you enjoy it!

I get a kick out of some of the artists that Pandora thinks are similar here. They aren't really much like Birthday Massacre or Lacuna Coil for example. Ayria and Ego Likeness are much more similar.
If I remember right from meeting the band they are all rather skilled and educated musicians. The trouble is that they were all rather unequipped to actually make it. Their first album is imposable to get. It's a real out of their basement production I'm told. One or two band members can be found |
