Jason Boland & The Stragglers
Biography
Making the sort of neo-traditionalist country that brings to mind the rowdy glory of David Allan Coe, Jason Boland and his band uprooted from their Oklahoma home and made their splash in Texas. Their blue collar country caught on with locals, and their genuine backroad experiences led to hedonistic tracks like "Drinkin' Song" and "When I'm Stoned." Recording a concert in the spring of 2002, they released Live at Billy Bob's Texas that fall. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music Guide

I saw these guys on holloween night in Little Rock. Big fun seeing these guys dressed like angels and such. I'm a big fan of them and CCR.

I just bought Pearl Snaps and I love it!!! This guy knows how to write from the heart and paint a colorful picture. I listen to this band almost daily and haven't gotten sick of them yet!!! I've been jammin to this Cross Canadian Ragweed, Hank II and Brandon Rhyder since the CD's came in. Of Course you have to look high & low for them in Jefferson City Missouri.

For all the fans tired of the glam-country , bubblegum-co u n t r y , and all other Nashville excrement, Jason Boland and the Stragglers are one of the artists/band s who can be a savior of what country music has always been and should be. Jason Boland, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Cory Morrow, The Great Divide, Reckless Kelly, Randy Rogers, Mike Graham are keeping the spirit of great country music alive. These posers like Rascal Flats, Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw are killing country music for our kids!

good stuff, but Jason you have a rep in Johnson County as being an A Hole! When you play here, be a little more "in tune" with the locals. You and "Dona-Who", should remember where you came from. Just because you played at Billy Bob's does not make you a rock star. That is unless your dreams are Honky tonks, Truck stops, lost souls, and empty bottles, for your empty souls. Go back to OK, and stay out of the F'n left lane, while in Texas!

Have 4 of their cd's. Bourbon Legend is my fav, but I love them all! I still need to get Truckstop Diaries. I'll be ordering it soon.

I'm a huge fan of this group. Took some time, but got all their albums. Guess where I "discovered" them? That's right, Pandora. I'd love to see them sometime, but I don't think they tour in Indiana.

Yeah, great. I love Jerry Jeff Walker & Waylon Jennings, this is right up that alley and in the groove. Smooth and nice.

Where can I find the song "Rich Young Dumb Nymphomaniac ? " That song is hilarious.

The show in Raleigh was amazing. There are few groups that bring forward such rooted music with innovative and energetic appeal.
