2004
So far, I have not heard a song by Jimmy D that I did not turn up loud... Very good stuff

First time hearer here. Wow! Probably doesn't hurt having Double Trouble behind him, and I wonder if the Mike Finnegan on B3 is the same keyboard player that toured with Dave Mason so long ago. GREAT STUFF!

This is the first time I've heard of this guy and my inital thought was "this is a badass guitar player." I'll buy it.

Impressive.. . have heard two songs off "It's Time", good enough for me to go out and buy this CD...

I have his two proir cd's (Long Gone & Legacy) to "It's Time" and they too are great. When It's Time was released, I ordered it off Jimmy's website. After 4 weeks, no CD, so I sent an email. 15 minutes later I receive a call in response to my claim. The guy says: I mailed it myself, to new York right? I say; Yeah that's right, and continue to say you sound alot like Jimmy. The respose was: That's cause I am & I'm gonna mail you another CD. We spoke for another 10 minutes or so...VERY COOL

Great spin tingling get the job done blues.I can clearly see that Stevie Ray Vaughn developed alot of his style from this particular artist.Keep on belting it out Pandora !!!

Jimmy D. Lane is the son of the late Jimmy Rogers who was the guitarist for Muddy Watters during his golden years the 50's. It wasn't Jimmy D. imitating his guitar heros Clapton etc. as was suggested. He learned from his father and grew up around Muddy, the Wolf and the whole Chicago scene. The "heros" only wish they had the exposure this guy grew up on.

Anyone out there know who the drummer is for Double Trouble? I love his style, I guess cuz its pretty similar to mine. As for Jimmy D. Lane...he gives proper homage to Stevie for sure!

Fo' sho' - The Double Trouble rythm section is the real deal. I made a station here on Pandora called Austin City Center, based on Double trouble and all the bands they are associated with, Archangels, Storyville, SRV and Jimmie Lee, Doyle Bramhall II and III, Charlie Sexton. Give it a listen if you like this music. Jimmy D. Lane came up on that station, totally new to me, Great stuff.

You can hear who is heros are...Stevie , Clapton, the Kings... he pays respect but has his own distinctive tone and style... VERY impressive!

Jimmy D. Lane and Albert Castiglia are two "unknown" blues/rock guitarists that no one that loves the music should miss. Both have paid their dues and it shows. "Bleeding Heart" is simply one of the best blues recordings ever made.

A man with a guitar in his hands who can actually play the instrument and not two or three chords and out. Wonderful, refreshing. F-I-N-E.
