Karen Clark-Sheard
Biography
As a member of the Clark Sisters, Karen Clark-Sheard was part of one of the most popular contempoary gospel groups of the '80s and '90s. She began singing with the group at the age of seven and she stayed with them for years, until she started a solo career in 1997. She was inspired to strike out on her own by producer/songwriter Stanley Brown. He had heard her sing "Don't Give Up" on the Island Inspirational All-Stars with Kirk Franklin, Donald Lawrence and Hezekiah Walker and suggested she work as a solo artist. With the blessing of her sisters, Karen Clark-Sheard decided to make a solo record for Island Inspirational Records and the result was Finally Karen...Live!, which was released in the fall of 1997. The album was produced by Donald Lawrence, James Moss and Stanley Brown and featured large portions recorded live in Detroit with the Tri-City Singers. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide

Along with being annointed comes a great responsibili t y to use your gifts in the will of GOD. Karen and all of the Clark, Moss family are true examples of doing GOD's will. They have ministerd to me all of my life and I thank GOD for them all.

The Clark Sisters are very annointed. I saw them in concert recently and Karen Clark-Sheard touch my soul. She is truly amazing. The whole family is. I thank God for blessing us with their amazing voices and their love for God.

I fell in love with the clark sisters the first time I heard them in the 70s' each year they became better amd better until they reached perfection in their singing and annoiting in God. All the Clarke sisters have their own identity and gift differing from one another. but since I'm speaking on Karen I'm giving her props, the girl is bad, she's annointed in God, She has ranges out the box, expecially when she does that echo without the help of the special echo techniques. She's great!

Karen is blessed with a beautiful talented singing voice. I don't really know her personally, but I hope that she lives the life that she sings about. I got a chance to meet her and her husband,i want say where for thier personal reasons, but they were the most humble folks i ever met to have the status in life they do.her husband,s family was the same way.i fell in love with the whole family

I grew up listening to the Clark sisters also, and love them to this day! Karen is my favorite; I love her daughters music also.

Grew up listening to Twinkie and the Clark Sisters from those earlier 70's days from the Church of Jesus in Oh. They have been refined like Pure Gold. When I fell away and their ministry saved my LIFE. Thanking God for them always for ministering the Word in song. Can't thank you enough GIRLS. Your MOM is proud. Stay together always.
