Keith Sweat
Biography
Keith Sweat is a Harlem-born R&B singer/songwriter who released his debut album, Make It Last Forever, at the end of 1987. The album sold over three million copies, spawning the hits "I Want Her" (number one R&B, number five pop), "Something Just Ain't Right" (number three R&B), "Make It Last Forever" (number two R&B), and "Don't Stop Your Love" (number nine R&B). It was followed in June 1990 by I'll Give All My Love to You, another million-seller, which featured the hits "Make You Sweat" (number one R&B, number 14 pop), "Merry Go Round" (number two R&B), "I'll Give All My Love to You" (number one R&B, number seven pop), and "Your Love, Pt. 2" (number four R&B). Sweat's third album was Keep It Comin', an R&B chart-topper at the end of 1991, whose title track was another number one R&B hit. In 1994 he returned with Get Up on It; a self-titled release followed in 1996, and two years later he issued Still in the Game. Didn't See Me Coming (2000), Rebirth (2002), and the live Sweat Hotel (2007) followed. Two albums recorded with Gerald LeVert and Johnny Gill, billed as LSG (and released in 1997 and 2003), were also considerably successful. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide

The first time I heard of Keith Sweat was 21 years ago, and today the man still turns me on.I have every album. I even have his X-mas ablum on my Ipod, even those tracks are sooo sexy. I would love to find him in my X-mas socking. I've seen Keith perform everytime he is in NY. Matter of fact, just recently at BBKings. At BBKings you are allowed to stand right in front of the stage, I was so close that I was able to take the sweat off his chest with my hand. Haven't washed that hand since (lol)Ke

Now I think we can all agree that Keith is a absolutley brilliant artist, I don't care if you hate begging ,knee jerk emotional tracks. They don't even include 1991's 'Keep it coming' or 1994's 'Get up on it' in the above selection. This guy's first 5 albums are each timeless and groundbreaki n g . Keith is 0ne of the most underrated live performers , his shows seem to capture every spectator. Granted 'Still in the game' and everything after it fell short and were more cash grabs than true art.

You can't deny Keith Sweat's talent, he is responsible for atleast 15 top 100 love songs and boosting the population with every album. This guy will never get the credit he deserves and I beleive that makes him even more special. His work with L.S.G ( R.I.P Levert) was great in its own right. You would be hard pressed to find a better writer of pure emotional love songs than Keith.

He has his own style. I combo of crying and straining. But I like it!

Keith Sweat has always been and will always be my favorite R&B artist!!!!!! !

His new 2008 album is awesome. The tempo of the beats keep up with the Hip Hop R&B style, the background vocals compliment his style. The lyrics are excellent.
You can listen to the entire album, and forget to change it. Very entertaining . Definitely worth its weight in gold. |

I love Keith Sweat music he remind of a old version of R.kelly but, on a positive level.

Keith Sweat, the best R&B artist there is. No artist can make a woman feel the way he does when he sings. His concerts are off the hook. He performs for each woman individually . He sings like he's singing directly to you (woman). He seems like he's a down to earth kind of man, he seems sincere, honest and in my eyes a very special person. Just what we all women would like to have.

NOW THIS IS MUSIC OF DAYS GONE BUY FOR THE YOUNGER GENERATION. WHEN YOU AND YOUR GIRL WOULD GO FOR A MIDNIGHT DRIVE AND END UP DOING YOU NO WHAT. I THINK THE YOUNGER GENERATION IS SUPER SCARED TO DO THIS. I THINK THEY MIGHT REALLY FALL IN LOVE. AND I THINK THATS WHAT THERE SCARED OF.

I am in love with a man in prison and I love him very much. This music keeps me feeling all the love I have for him when I write him a letter and trying to think of all the words that I want to express to him. He is my life and pride and joy this love that I have for him makes me feel like 16ish again. These songs means some much to me more then ever because I feel all the words in my heart very deep. He is so far away and this keeps the love alive and I thank God for love music I feel it was me

We really enjoyed your show in Norman Oklahoma and I also enjoyed your show in my hometown Dallas Texas. It was really nice meeting and talking to you after the concert. Thanks for taking the time to visit with two of your fans from Big "D." Stay focused, strong and keep up the good work.
