Biography
Nashville-born, Detroit-based singer/songwriter/musician/producer Kem Owens is a smooth, spiritually oriented R&B artist inspired by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, and Grover Washington Jr. His self-released debut, Kemistry, sold 10,000 copies, and it was eventually picked up by Motown for nationwide release. The album reached the Top 20 of the Top Hip-Hop/R&B Albums chart. Its follow-up, Album II, came out in May of 2005. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide

The depths of me is touched when I hear that voice and grasp understandin g of every spoken lyric, a since of peace but yet an awareness of being forlorn, an odd sensation of melancholy that is in itself satisfying and comfortable.

It is beyond time for another release..."H e a v e n " was my wedding march song...Kem can't/won't disappoint! Have seen him so many times that it might be on the verge of stalking...l o l . Have gotten my husband hooked too so its awesome to be able to enjoy togther.

I've worn out both of his cd's. Time to replace them both. Great cds from a wonderful artist. Kem is a gifted artist. I'm anxiously awaiting his next release. If you haven't already, you owe it to yourself to see Kem live and in concert. You won't be disappointed .

I am too a singer, songwriter, musician, and producer from chicago. Kem has a nice relaxing style that any one could listen to. One day I might have chance maybe cowrite with him and I. We need more artist that sing about love and try to find solutions to our prombles that we face today. The flesh of man will decay but, where will the soul of man lay his head.

in ATL on vacation heard KEM was in concert at Chastain Park...got some tickets from scalper(lol) . . . t h e usher continued to take us further to the front until we were sitting at the front of the stage watching KEM. Brotha puts on a great show.
