This Mississippi guitarist with a folk-rock style akin to James Taylor and Suzanne Vega has a sturdy, low-alto vocal style. ~ Bil Carpenter, All Music Guide
I went and saw her in the 90s when I was a pre-teen at my church in Memphis. She got her start in Christian music and is one of the few people from that genre I might still listen to today. I just heard one of her tracks and it sounds genuine. I also have a signed casette from her concert and I practically wore the thing out...but can't recall any of the songs off the top of my head anymore.
I adore Kim Hill, as I have a similar vocal range and can sing every note she does. But she also has a heart-felt and moving style that impresses me every time I reach for one of her CDs. I recently found an old cassette of hers and delighted in the timeless quality of her voice and lyrics.
