I know that one of the band members lives in northern germany and is still involved in the music industry and in playing in some bands - he certainly has some local fame among the locals
at0micbaum - I checked out the description for Paradise Island "...This CD combines the band's first and third albums (Lake and Paradise Island, respectively)..."
I've been looking for this album, Paradise Island, for years. Last heard it on 8-track in the late Seventies. Saw them in concert in Wheeling, WV. Great band.
Lake is one of my all time favorite bands and most people have not even heard of them. If they had been a US band they would have been huge in the mid to late 70s. Did any of the band memebers go onto fame in other groups?
Hey...a few more Lake fans! One of my buddies turned me onto Lake in the mid 70's and I loved it. "Sorry to Say', "Jesus Came Down" and "On the Run" are a few of my all time favorite songs by any artist. Very obscure band but I loved their music. Glad to see Jay Ferguson and Leroux and possibilties as similar artists. The bassist of Leroux lives near me and he couldn't believe I had three of their albums. I'm definintely old school.
This is one of those bands where I liked every song on their albums. Not known at all where I grew up...Casper, Wyo.... I have enjoyed their music for 30 + years...Time l e s s
