Biography
Melodic Baytown, TX, alternative CCM ensemble Leeland formed in 2005 around their talented lead singer, guitarist, and frontman Leeland Mooring. The group, which also includes keyboard player/vocalist Jack Mooring, guitarist Austin Tirado, bass player Jake Holtz, and drummer Mike Smith, released its debut, Sound of Melodies, on Essential Records in 2006, followed by Opposite Way in 2008 and Love in on the Move in 2009. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide

this band is INCREDIBLE. absolutely love Leeland's voice. wanted to see them in concert, but from what kal.el.jdf says, that idea doesn't seem too hot anymore. wouldn't want the experience to ruin how much i love their music. :)

me and my gf saw them in concert and she can't listen to them anymore cuz she thinx the lead singer is too gross (looking, that is). He was wearing a super tight purple shirt and tiny shorts and long, greasy red hair. kinda gross indeed

I caught them at Aquire The Fire in Dallas. Leeland actually came and spoke, as well as led us in prayer, at the youth pastor's meeting before it kicked off. This kid is on fire for God! He is a paStor's son, and I believe he's been annointed to preach as well. I love 'em.

These guys are great! I love 'Sound of Melodies' the best. We sang it at church once, and I've been seeking it out ever since. Then, suddenly, it came on one of my stations! What a blessing! I love it!

I saw them at the harvest crusade in anaheim, cali. Doesnt get much better vocally in my opinion. For someone so young, Leeland has so much raw hidden talent. im waiting patiently to see what's next. Opposite way is one of the best written songs of 2008. Listen to the lyrics carefully. What a joy to see these guys on pandora. God bless richly...... . . . . . . . .

I don't know where the reviewer got the name Austin Tirado. The name of the other guitarist is Matt Campbell. I've seen the band in concert twice (with tickets to a third concert). They're awesome. I was able to meet them in the autograph line. God has truly blessed them.

I saw Leeland in Colorado Springs at the Desperation youth convention during worship. Made it all more the better. Can't get some of the songs out of my mind!

I have Leeland's "Opposite Way" album and I can't stop listening to it! This really is one of the best and most unique christian bands out there! I highly recommend their new album. you'll love it!!
