Has anyone else noticed that EVERY contemporary "indie" artist is immediately described as sounding like someone else? That's a big part of the reason music sucks nowadays. Who did The Smiths, Ultravox, Chameleons, Wall of Voodoo, Gary Numan, etc. etc. sound like? Nobody. That kind of individualit y is absolutely gone, except maybe in electronic music.

Fry, it's not on any album. It was made before How Vulgar, yet doesn't appear on either version of Hi-Fi Highlights. It was made exclusively for Sabotaz.
On another note, I wish I could edit this artist, because the only album by the band listed is Hi-Fi Highlights Down Low. The only other two albums they did were How Vulgar, and most recently, Honeymoon is Over, both of which are very good. |

This sounds a lot like the 80's guitar pop that came after the heels of the post punk wasteland. The Housemartins come to mind real quick...

Lodger is a Finnish indie rock band, formed by Teemu Merilä in 2002. Although largely unknown outside of Finland, they have established a cult-followi n g on the internet due to the popularity of their flash music videos.
