ESTOY SIN PALABRAS AL ESCUCHAR ESTAS HERMOSAS MELODIAS. LIRICAS QUE NACEN EN EL CORAZON Y SON LAS MAS SINCERAS.
|

Um, I don't know about everyone else, but I noticed that whoever wrote up their biography didn't put in the right information. Just thought I'd put that out there...

Con estas canciones yo creci porque mi papa se las ha cantado a mi mama por toda la vida.

My God. What a backtrip. El Trio los Panchos. This is how I remember them. The music my parents danced and listened when they were sweethearts. Los Panchos are much more than what the biography says. They were the standard from which countless other "trios" stemmed from. Their popularity went across the whole world, with their peak during the fifties all the way up to the early eighties. "Borracho no Vale" is my favorite guaracha. Makes me remind when I was a kid at the old barrio. Four corners.

I knew this music of my childhood (Dominican born/raised in NYC) was out there. I just didn't know how or where to begin to find it. Thank you.

This music makes my spirit soar. My father used to play Trio Los Panchos, Beny More, Felipe Rodriguez, Felipe Pirela, Trio Vegabajeno, Daniel Santos, and much more. He had a great collection of beautiful classic records. My mother loved to listen to jibaro music by Ramito and others. Thank you for making it possible for me to introduce and share this love of music with my children.

Born in Colombia, and hearing my grandparents sing these songs along side a riverbank cooking un sancocho ( a stew cooked by firewood) and drinking, eating and singing till the sun came out are a few of the great memories that bring me back to my youth. Thank you Pandora great work would love to see video's of these timeless classics.

PANDORA,
I NEED TO SHARE THIS WITH YOU. MY DEAR FATHER AND GRANDFATHER TRIED TO GET ME TO STUDY MUSIC BUT I WAS INTO SPORTS ... UNTIL I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE TRIO MUSIC. THEY WERE HAPPY TO SEE I PICKED UP THE GUITAR .. LATER THE REQUINTO. AT 13 YRS, BEFORE CDS, CASSETTES, 8-TRACKS, 45 RPMs, I WOULD TURN THE RADIO ON EVERYDAY FOR A 1/2 HR SHOW FEATURING TRIO MUSIC. TIME HAS PAST BUT ROMANTIC MUSIC NEVER DIES. THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE |

Brings back so many memories, En Mi Viejo San Juan being one of my dads favorites.
Music that is classic and timeless, and takes me back to a different time where things were more simple, life was less busy and we valued people and life a little more. I live far from my dad now and he is 86 but listening to this music makes me feel closer to him. Thank you Pandora. |
