Biography
Although known in some circles as the wife of Verve Pipe frontman Brian Vander Ark, Lux Land is also a gifted songwriter in her own right, drawing upon her Northern California roots to create wistful, melancholic folk music. Born and raised on the West Coast, she later spent time traveling the Northwest and first crossed paths with her future husband in Utah. After releasing her debut EP, Made of Murmurs, she married Vander Ark and relocated to Michigan, where her new surroundings (not to mention the birth of her first child) helped shape the material on her full-length debut, 2007's Summer Hours. ~ Andrew Leahey, All Music Guide
