McFly
Biography
Similar to fellow British pop act Busted, London-based McFly came together and quickly won over the youth masses with their boyish charm and lively tales of adolescence. However, while Busted shared commonalities with the punk-edged accessibility of acts like blink-182 and Simple Plan, McFly owed a bit more musically to bands like the Beach Boys. Naming themselves after Michael J. Fox's character from the Back to the Future series, the guys -- Danny Jones (guitar/vocals), Tom Fletcher (guitar/vocals), Dougie Poynter (bass/vocals), and Harry Judd (drums) -- released Room on the Third Floor in the fall of 2004 on Universal. The album went straight to number one in the U.K., an achievement that landed them in The Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest band to ever do so. It produced a slew of Top Five hits as well, including "Five Colours in Her Hair," "Obviously," "That Girl," and "Room on the Third Floor," the first two of which peaked at number one on the U.K. charts.
McFly started off 2005 with a Best Pop Award win at the Brits, and later in the year released the charity single "All About You," which also contained a B-side cover of Carole King's "You've Got a Friend.

Discovered them in the movie Just My Luck and fell in love! The music is awesome and it dosen't hurt that one of them is hot (idk their names so I don't know which. He's a lead singer and he's not blonde...?). Anyway, I LOVE!!!

Bunches of my friends liked them, which made me want to not ever listen to them ever, because that's just how I roll. Then I started listening to them and I LOVE them!

Huh.. I thought I heard something about them coming to the USA over the summer. I guess I was wrong. Maybe next year they'll come. Sorry about the false alarm.

I certainly hope so! Their calendar is cleared from August until the end of the year, as far as I know, so I'm praying they make a trip to the US.

I don't know if this is a rumour or not. But, I heard that McFly are going to be coming to the USA to perform (possibly to go on tour in the USA) some time in August (I don't if it's this year or next year that they are coming). Is that true?

The Radio:Active album by McFly is finally here on Pandora!!! I just listened to their sample songs and they sound AWESOME!!!!! :). Hey, if you don't believe me, listen yourself.

It's a long story about how this happened in the first place. But, to make this long story short, I'm was just curious on what would happen if I did send an email to Pandora requesting to put this album on Pandora. Miraculously , I got a response and they said they would do it :). So, for those of you dying to have McFly's new album, Radio:Active , on Pandora, you don't have to wait any longer. Because, it's finally here and it will PROBABLY be posted it this week :). If not, maybe next week.

Hey, did anyone here about David Archuleta (one of the runner-ups from American Idol 2008) performing with McFly as a special guest in one of their tours (I think it's the Up Close ... And This Time It's Personal Tour in England)? Word was going around that this was happening, so I don't know if this is true or not.

I love mcfly! I loved them after I saw just my luck (which is a totally lame movie... but whatever) and then I kinda forgot about them until I went to england and got their newest cd. yay mcfly!

i love five colors in her hair. my kinda dorky friend told me about them and burned a cd for me and i was like, ok, whatever. i was really surprised at how much i liked them. love at first listen

I know it sounds crazy but I first heard of them on the movie "Just my luck" and fell in love with their sound instantly. My favorites are Star Girl,Obvious l y , P l e a s e Please, and Friday Night (yeah I have a lot of favorites they're just great)

It's too bad they don't Motion in the Ocean or Radio:Active on here. I love all the music, but I think those last two CD's have been their best!
