Biography
Michael English's roots are in Southern gospel; he performed with the Singing Americans, the Goodmans, the Gaither Trio and the Gaither Vocal Band before going solo in 1991. English began drawing attention to his powerful tenor when he recorded "I Bowed on My Knees and Cried Holy," first with the Singing Americans, then with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. English has won Dove Awards for Best New Artist and Best Male Vocalist. Among his solo efforts: 1993's Hope, 1995's Healing and 1996's Freedom. He returned in 1998 with Gospel, followed two years later by Heaven to Earth. ~ Brian Mansfield, All Music Guide

I recently saw Michael perform in Farmer City, Illinois. He has written a new book about his past and it is remarkably candid and enlightening . He has re-married and has a young daughter. What a man of God!!We all have problems, but with God's grace and mercy we have been redeemed and perfected by the Blood of the Lamb.

I love this artist everything he sings sound awsome. Oil from the olive is produce through crushing. Sometimes it is surprising what brings forth the anointing.

Well breadbasket it seems to me that he has overcome. So why be concerned about something that happened in the past. God has helped Michael to overcome. Have you forgotten that curiosity killed the cat. Michael and his brother Biney are both wonderful christian artist and we are blessed by the talent the Lord God has given them.

Something happened to Michael a few years ago that didn't seem to be in his favor. Does anyone know what he needed to overcome? Just curious and concerned.

Every time I hear I Bowed On My Knees, I get anxious to get to Heaven and get to experience what the song is talking about. It takes you there for a few quick moments here on earth. Thank God for voices like his and he is using his God given talent for the Lord to bless others.
