CHAPTER 11 for maybe -- Have you seen photos from his
official website on internet. He cut off most his youth hair and he is middle-haire d middle-aged guy in semi-middle class area of the inter country heartland. We like his sound. Maybe he will get back on scene and preform with some other guys. |

this album was the s**t back in the day. i len it to all my friends in school. they were like "this is major badassness"
Defintiely like what I've heard from this guy so far. I like the tone he's managing to generate. Too bad he didn't get a little more exposure early on.
good artists borrow...gre a t artists steal...firk i n s has so many rolled up in his bag...under his fingers...qu i t e sublime
chapter eleven has an almost country feel (at times)
his debut album is discernably different cactus cruz goes in another direction definately not like the guitarists he gets lumped in with apples to oranges imhoa |

Dragonforce has been making an honest push since their guitar hero popularity to improve their live playing. I only like one or two MAB songs, but his technique is not something you can insult. And trying to insult Yngwie just makes you the joke.
Let's get this straight, Herman Li and Dragonforce is a joke. They suck live, they are better just staying in the studio. Have you ever heard Herman Li try to nail one of his solo's live? He can't do it. He has the same problem as Yngwie, and Micheal Angelo Batio, nobody cares how fast you play if what your playing sucks.
He's alright. A little bland and/or mediocre on his songwriter or lack thereof. But not bad by any means.
I still prefer Eric Johnson or Satriani. |
Pandora, this is a tight band! Keep feeding my head at keyWestRoXra d i O . . .

I dont know... Herman Li is amazing. Very technical, and incredibly fast. But yes he is a little lacking in the melodic content. And Eric Johnson and Striani, and the others are completely different than what Herman Li does. The music from dragonforce is really focused a lot on the speed, where as with this other stuff (I am thinking here particularly of Eric Johnson, becuase i really like his music) every not really shines, and stands out, and then it all flows together. Just different stuff
To answer whereswade's question many ppl consider Eric johnson a type of shred guitar, he just has taste so thats why he comes up on that station :)
Herman li is a shredder, for sure, but he is a little bit lacking in the "melodic content" department, yes?
Herman li is great, but he is a very different type of guitarist. If you watch some of his videos they show that his blinding speed is actually pretty sloppy. Not to bash on Herman or anything, but these guitarists are hard to compare.
jeff try listening to a herman li solo from dragonforce thats real talent
What the Firken heck is this? AWESOME stuff! Can anyone tell me why he comes up in my "Eric Johnson Radio"? HAH! Very good stuff.
THIS S**T IS OF THE CHIZANG! GREAT ROAD MUSIC? HOW DA F**K YA NEVER HERE THIS ON DA RADIO? OH YEAH i 4GOT, cLEAR CHANNEL, cbs, INFINITY!!! what a sad state of FM radio 2day.
Michael Lee Firkins is possibly the most melodic and technically talented guitarist on the planet. His songs feature an amazing variety of emotions, and his command of the instrument is unmatched.
