A lot of people now know Shirley Jones's excellent take on Marian from the film version, but on this cd you can here the original Broadway performance of Marian by the great Barbara Cook. I think both performers were wonderful in the role. And of course, Robert Preston was maginificent as well!

Music Man has a special place in my heart - I played Mayor Shinn in my school production. Notice it wasn't a SINGING role.
