Biography
Tupelo, MS's Paul Thorn was a prizefighter and skydiver before becoming a rootsy singer/songwriter. As a boxer, Thorn once fought against Roberto Duran and as a musician, he has toured and collaborated with Sting, Paul Carrack, Joe Diffie, Tanya Tucker, Ronnie Milsap, and Carole King. He released his debut album, Hammer & Nail, in 1997 and followed it with Ain't Love Strange three years later. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide

Found Paul at 3rd and Lindlsey a few years ago in Nashville... w o n d e r e d why the room was so incredibly packed???? Didn't take me long too find out! My wife and I are huge Thorn fans!!!!!

I became a Paul Thorn fan a couple of years ago, after hearing him on the Bob & Tom show. I've seen him in concert and own most of his cds. My 10 year old daughter walks around the house singing Burn Down the Trailer Park constantly!

Saw him last week with The Blind Boys of Alabama... he opened and put on one helluva show! Never had heard of him before, but I purchased a CD at the show and have been a fan since...

Paul Wayne Thorn makes us Miss'sippian s proud! He has a way with the spoken word that translates lyrically like none other...beli e v e it or not...he is singing the song of the south. Yes, those things really happen around Tupelo. Walk into any furniture factory here in North Mississippi. . . h e l l , just any coffee house or diner like Johnnie's Drive Inn in East Tupelo...you would be amazed at what you see and hear, the stories would crack you up and you would recognize those stories in his songs.
