Cowgirl, not all of today's music is crap, just take the time to find the good ones. Check out a young singer by the name of Neyo, I think. He kind of reminds me of these type of singers. He has that soft pretty voice that just ooz the sound of love. I love being able to sit and listen to everyone from Frankie Lyman to Elvis to Neyo to Run DMC, lol. That is music appreciation for your, right!

im only 14 and this and country is all i listen to pretty much. i hat todays modern trash: rap, pop, r & b. it can all go! but doowop is classic... LOVE IT.

Buck Ram managed the Penquins and Platters. He used the popularity of Earth Angel by the Penquins to get Mercury to sign the Platters.

Another album featuring the Penguins was released on DooTone, DL204, which contained 6 hits by The Penguins on the "A" side, DL204A, and two cuts each featuring The Meadowlarks, The Medalions, and The Dootones on the "B" side. DL204B. This LP release was on the original DOOTONE label.
