Biography
Italy's leading progressive-rock outfit of the early '70s, PFM would've remained a purely Italian phenomenon had it not been for their being signed by Emerson, Lake & Palmer to the latter's Manticore label. Their sound was more distinctly rooted in the pre-classical era than that of their Germanic counterparts. In addition to electric keyboards (synthesizers, etc.), they also relied on violin and flute (recorder, actually) as major components of their music. Their name, by the way, was short for Premiata Forneria Marconi, the name of the bakery that originally sponsored them. ~ Bruce Eder, All Music Guide

thought it was a remix or a derivative sample at first listen. there is a little bit of spaghetti wetern guitar near the end of the track. i imagine the pandora info is linked to the source material and not the remix that conrad did for the progressions . i will investigate further. seems conrad remixed several PFM tracks including "western" on logical progressions 1 and "in love" on logical progressions 4, the latter has a female vocal and is credited to conrad instead of PFM

No kidding. For a 70's prog rock outfit, these guys were WAYYYYYYYYY ahead of their time - at least they kept their beards (wink and a nod to 'Never You Mind')

Wow, have you screwed this one up. The PFM that is similar to LTJ Bukem and J Majik has nothing to do with the PFM of the '70s italian prog group. The first is a Liquid D'n'B producer, the latter are crap. Listen to the track "one & only" on the "Logical Progession, vol 1" album by LTJ Bukem (the track is by PFM) and tell me if that is 70's italian prog rock. Come on Pandora, step it up.
