Wow, interesting. Just hearing it I was thinking it was a late 60's/early 70's band I'd somehow missed. This info places them in with The Plimsouls, Romantics, Replacements and a couple of other 80's bands who were going for an authentic Brit invasion sound. I think maybe these guys took that too far. It is a bit Ironic that this album is called "Rare and Unissued", it seems that title could pretty much describe The Prisoners entire catalog.
