Blackout
2004
This is off WTII records site: PTI: Blackout The most recent signing make their WTII debut with the release of Blackout. Following the self released SOS EP, Blackout blends melodic and aggressive vocals with driving beats, heavy synths and intricate programming. The tracks "Gone Silicon," "IDentify" and "Database" are destined to be club hits, while "Ivory Tower" and "Vacant" showcase the more melodic side of PTI. Overall this 11 track release will leave you wanting more.

Woyakj, though I agree with your point, I strongly disagree with your argument. Saying that in order to critique music, one must be able to make something better is wholly counter-prod u c t i v e . I believe that, as a consumer, criticism is vital to the business. On the other hand, I think that PTI is full of innovation. Condemnation brings in antiphony-ch a r g e d rap vocals with mild distortion, something I've not seen elsewhere. If only I knew where to FIND these guys.

While I think that there are definitely elements of this music that show its influences, I think you'd have a hard time finding music that doesn't. Pti does a great job, IMHO, of making melodic and danceable electronic music that conveys a sense of emotional movement over the course of each track. I suggest to anyone who thinks this music is boring or commodity to give a try at making music this good or well-produce d on their own, and then come back and let us all know how easy it was..

Good, full sound- I'm liking this group. Never heard them before I found them here, so I may be filling my player with some new music, soon.
