These guys sound like dead ringers for The Byrds. I swear I thought Roger McGuinn was singing lead. And that damned sure sounds like a Rickenbacker in the mix.

"One Trip Later" morphs the hooks from the Monkees' "Pleasant Valley Sunday" and The Rolling Stones'"19th Nervous Breakdown." They keep it poppin' right to the end. I agree, the tone of the guitar, the openness of the hook, and their harmonies are very Byrd-like.

I immediately thought of The Byrds as well. "Everything Again" could BE a Byrds song.

The Quarter After was formed in 2000 in Los Angeles. The quartet came of age in the burgeoning L.A. psych scene. They honed their live show playing gigs up and down the West Coast. Their eponymous debut album was released on Ric Menck’s Birdsong label and earned impressive reviews.Nati o n a l and west coast tours followed, sharing the stage with bands such as the Black Angels, the Lovetones, and the High Dials.The Quarter After recently completed a late summer tour of the U.K.
