love the movie! And I just had the huge pleasure of seeing it in San Francisco with Anthony Rapp, Adam Pascal, and Gwen Stewart! ABSOLUELTY AMAZING!!!!! I went to the stage door after and got to meet them! Adam and Anthony are so much cuter in person :) you have to see this show... Jonothan Larson is a pure genious!! I am a HUGE renthead!

I saw Rent in STL at the Fox and in NY on Broadway. Both audiences broke out in riotous cheering during Seasons of Love at the start of the second act. Who says Bohemia is dead?

Just saw RENT in Denver. Lexi Lawson ROCKS and of course Adam and Anthony were AWESOME. I wasn't impressed with the gal who played JoAnne. But I LOVE the original Broadway soundtrack. . .it has that raw feel that was alluded to elsewhere!

Just took my daughter to see Rent in Seattle on 6/21. Absolutely amazing. Can't get enough of the music. I thought Lexi Lawson vocally was much better as Mimi than Rosario Dawson.

This version itself is great, but the Mimi in the movie has a nicer voice. I can't STAND listening to this Mimi.

UMMM hello...the movie is NOWHERE near as good as the stage. I just got back from St. Louis where I had the divine pleasure of seeing both Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal performing their original roles and I was BLOWN away! This production is, by far, the best I have seen and I have seen it MANY times including on Broadway in New York just last year. Go see it if you haven't! It is so worth the price of a ticket!

Yeah, I saw an interview with Adam Pascal and he was saying how the improvement from the first shows they did to now. The movie soundtrack is great, but the original interpretati o n s of the song were so much more raw, which might be a good thing.

actually the movie cast is the same as the original broadway cast, except for Mimi, who was replaced by Rosario Dawson in the film, and Joanne, who was replaced by Tracie Thoms in the film; otherwise they are all the same! They just improved alot. =) |

The movie is great, but you just absolutely have to see it on Broadway to fully appreciate and get the full effect! Bloody amazing!!!!! ! ! this play is amazing!!! i have to disagree with plaidhippo12 3 i like the movie cast but their voices are to smooth and pop(ish) for this kind of music. This story needs to be told with raw emotion. The Broadway does an amazing job of this.

I have been in love with this musical since 2000, when one of my no boyfriends introduced me to it. I've seen the show 5 times (most recently with Anthony Rapp, Adam Pascal and Gwen Stewart) and have yet to be disappointed !
I liked the movie. I think Chris Columbus did a good job of bringing the stage production to the big screen. He kept the storyline in tact without removing/cha n g i n g too much and I think Jonathan Larson would be proud.The movie was terrible if you have ever seen the sho |

The movie was terrible if you have ever seen the show. I'm not one of those 'the book was better than the movie' people either.
This is an excellent production. If you remotely liked the movie, go see the show whenever it is in a reasonable traveling distance - you will never regret it. |

This musical has changed my life. Probally because i find myself just randomly singing the songs in class. I have memorized the words and everything. I <3 the origanal main cast: idina, taye, freddi, Wilson, jesse, adam, anthony, and daphnie. They are the best!!!!!!!!

rent has been one of the most amazing broadway show's i fully enjoy all the music and actor and atress that put there best foot forth in putting on the best show and drama my favorite song of the all is season of love song by jessi martin
