Biography
Res (pronounced Reese) released her debut album, How I Do, in 2001. The mixture of hip-hop, rock, and soul (the hip-hop influence being the most prominent) was largely produced by Doc, who had worked on Esthero's 1998 release, Breath From Another. Prior to this debut, RES, born and raised in Philadelphia's suburbs, sang on GZA's Beneath the Surface and performed guest vocals for Talib Kweli & Hi Tek's Reflection Eternal. ~ Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide

This was actually a really good f**king CD. A buddy had to make me sit down and listen to it and I was blown away. Where is she now?

I liked this album alot. I picked it up at Tower Records on a whim (remember taht store?) and I enjoyed it. I especially liked the song "Ice King". Great song, great songwriting and beat.

she had so many additional songs on myspace and her website after her album debut, now they dissapeared, i can't find them anywhere! one of them was called angry, i loved it so much

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE RES!! I really wish she would make another album, I have completely worn out her first CD! I'm glad to know there are other people who are on the same page as me

I love Res!!! I bought the album when it was first released after seeing her on MTV's "you hear it first", then I lost it and haven't been able to find a replacement. Her music is great, thank you for putting her music out there.

SHE LOVELY. I FIRST SAW HER ON AN HBO CONCERT AND HAVE BEEN HOOKED EVER SINCE. SHE BEAUTIFUL AND SOOOOO TALENTED. SHE ROCKS THE CROWD AND ENERGY IS SUPREME. I'M WAITING FOR ANOTHER ALBUM OR A CONCERT.

She is truly amazing, a must see at any show. She gets even the smallest audience a classic performance. If you love music then you must listen and attend a Res event.
