Amen, schornie. Plus his bio needs WAY more info than this. His influence over CCM goes way deeper than two sentences. In a time of uber-polishe d , over-produce d artists, Russ was inventing something that sounded unlike anything else out there in CCM. I remember when he performed "I Still Believe" off his self-titled release (later covered by The Call) at the Dove awards (late 80's I think) and blew everyone away.

Pretty weak album selection here. Where is "Medals" or "Walls of Glass" or the iconic 80's Russ Taff self titled solo album which also featured a single in the movie "The Lost Boys"... This guy is the greatest male vocalist of all time, hands down. Mad range and power. He's getting old, but his 70's and 80's hits are what inspired a whole genre of Christian Contemporary and other contemporary artists. Check out his old-school songs on The Imperials too. "Priority" is my favorite!
