I'm a fan of stuff like manowar (with things like sons of odin or warriors of the world) and other things like iron maiden(the trooper) and rammstein or nightwish and some dream evil. I'm a history buff and metal head too. What band could be better, come on, fresh stuff about WAR w/o completely glorifying it. They are something new that everyone should listen to instead of the emo c**p that is passed off as metal. Fresh heavy war metal. Enjoy their music and never turn back.

I like this band but I couldn't help but notice that he sounds like an Arnold impersonator singing... GET TO THE CHOPPER... GET DOWN.... who is your daddy and what does he do...

Sabaton is my favorite metal band. Hands down, no competition for me. Great band...

This band had solid musicianship and the singers gritty raw voice is perfect for the work they produce. The sncopated drum lines are very reminiscent Iron Maiden and the historical leaning again brought to mind the noted and much honored British rockers. Let's be honest being reminisent of Maiden ain't a bad thing! NOT AT ALL!

If you like them you may also want to check out Dream Evil they remind me a bit of them except Sabaton seems to be alot more reality based instead of fantasy based songs that is.

I love Sabaton. A sabaton is the part of a knights armor that covers the foot. On Primo Victoria the only song not about a war is the last tract. The song Metal Machine is a tribute to Ozzy Ozbourne. Just super!

its great how they add a historical feel to their music. its unique how detailed they get, but they never sacrifice the quality of their music. really intelligent

It's well informed and thought out music that just pumps me up with its warlike sound. I can't not get goosebumps when I hear the breakdown of Primo Victoria. It has an epic feel without the feeling of trying to be epic, which many artists never achieve. They avoid the monotonous sounds of many newer artists by creating their own interesting and enjoyable feel. Sabaton rocks.

I would guess "femmy" vocals refers to the tendancy for many bands to have really high piched screamers for vocals, which this is definately not. I love the images I get in my head when I hear this stuff. Despite there brutal sound, the music is very intelligent.

A unique sound, isn't it? It goes against everything I love in music, and represents everything I don't like in music, but for some reason I absolutely love it! They have succeeded gloriously in finding a perfect balance in their sound.

Who says Pandora doesn't support Artist. I'm totally buying all thier stuff on iTunes. I love Power Metal, and Sabaton is so perfect, as their vocals aren't all "femmy", nor are they all gutteral death-metal' d out.

Many hits, few misses. Intelligent metal. It's fun to figure out what wars the songs are about, and not all of them are about war. I even went and bought both the albums through their site; and eagerly await the third.
