Scatman John (John Paul Larkin) Such a great musician. It's too bad really. I got into his music a few years ago only to find out he was dead. RIP Scatman. Your songs are filled with wonderful messages for us all to learn from. Especially: Scatman (ski bop....), Scatman's World, and (we got to learn to) live together. I hope you are up there in heaven having eternal peace.

Wow... he layed down the stepping stones for modern music. I cant believe people were doing this before the year 2000.

I heard his song "Scatman" a while back, and didnt realize he had more songs. Such a great artist, he will certainly be remembered.

I was sad when I found out he was died (I only started listening to him recently).

Scatman John may be gone, but he taught everyone how to be a scatman, so the scatman will always live on!

John Paul Larkin, Better known as Scatman John, was great musician who created a unique fusion of scat singing and house music. The process, as he liked to say, of "turning my biggest problem into my biggest asset." Sadly, On December 3, 1999, he died of lung cancer. But great musicians like this, are not forgotten.

This guy was the best. It's been so long since I listen to him. He made my childhood so enjoyable. Those were some good summers!
