Secret And Whisper
Biography
The result of the departure of vocalist Chris Stickney from long running Canadian band Stutterfly, Secret and Whisper was the result of the remainder of Stutterfly's demo-ing experiment with former vocalist for fellow Canadians the Bleeding Alarm, Charles Furney. The marked difference in the sound of this new presence led to the abandonment of the old name, and in February of 2007, Secret and Whisper was born. Bradyn Byron (guitar), Jordan Chase (bass), Jason Ciolli (drums), and the aforementioned Furney were pleased with the results of the demo, titled Vanishings, and proceeded to record their debut album, Great White Whale, which was released in 2008. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide

all i could say the first time i heard them was "wow" as i scrambled to see who they were. I am impressed with each song i hear and i will never tire of it. I have NEVER heard anyone sing like him. i can't say anything more. they are simply amazing.

Furney is amazing. his work with bleeding alarm is great!!! He is even better than cove and anthony. thats my opinion so please dont comment on it unless you have something positive to say.

This band is really good!! in the same reahlm as Saosin. with better singing. This guy has pipes. I like Cove though, just wish he was better live.

furney sounds like the cd even when hes live, hes freaking good, but its hilarious when hes warmin up cuz it sounds terrible- but then once he does. . .

Have you ever heard him sing in real life? Didn't think so. That's what I'm referring to. Probably the most impressive live singer I've ever seen, besides like Imogen Heap. Have you ever heard Anthony Green sing live? Quite a different story, I'm sorry to say. Charles has probably a half octave on Cove and a full octave on Anthony's range. And I mean LIVE range.

This guy doesn't sound anything like Anthony Green. More like Cove. Any his solo album isn't worthless, your just a dick.
P.S. Ferney probably had countless sessions that where thrown into the garbage from this album, or remixed to make him sound purer. |

Give me a break. Even on a Secret & Whisper board, you get somebody complaining about Anthony Green. Have you heard his solo album? Worthless. Anyway, similar, but definitely not "just like Saosin". Would Saosin ever record a track like "Werewolves" ? They're a lot more ethereal than Saosin. And incredible live. I'm convinced Furney could have recorded the entire CD in one take.

similar artists!? these guys are not death metal. similar artist or some that you'll probably like, because i like them: Saosin!, a thorn for every heart, story of the year, thrice, circa survive...av e n g e d sevenfold if you want some metal in there...
