I have to agree with shieldsej, the great thing about them is the pronounced difference between albums. Unfortunatel y , that means you're not always going to get what you want, as was my case with Back Breaker.
Their other two albums were good enough for me to not care too much though. |

The beautiful thing about The Showdown is, they have 3 different albums. Emphasis on "different" Each album has it's own unique sound and style, which in my opinion is the sign of a good band. I'm a fan of all 3 albums but Back Breaker is by far my favorite. Aries- I am Vengeance, this song will JACK YOU UP!!!

Chorus of Obliteration was great! So many different types of metal influences in it. Temptation Come My Way was a huge shock to me. Their style change so much - I still liked it. Going to have to check out Back Breaker now

thanks. i wished they kept that old southern metal vibe in back breaker. they seem to be steering towards the common heavy metal sound. i got into them cus i thought their sound was so different . but it still good

The cowbell should do a solo recording side project, something like "Bringing Home the Cows" or "Broke-bell Mountain".

I saw this band under Megadeth's related artists, i was kinda surprised. I've liked both bands for awhile, but never viewed them as related. Also, why isnt the Backbreaker on their discography? its a great album.

caught these guys at Ozzfest '07 and was impressed... kinda hit & miss with their recordings, but "Temptation Come my Way" sounds to be a Metallica tribute song- soundwise & lyrically... not my favorite, but will keep an ear out for them.

sweeeet band. i don't see the similarity to Senses Fail though.... i like them too. i didn't know Showdown was Christian! awesome.

why in world is their first album not listed on here?!?!?! it had a lot more musicianship and was definitely better than temptation.

some of the most amazing musicianship the world will ever be graced with. The drummer is truly insane. To pull off all of the double kick and other fills that he does with machine like precision and still keep the time exactly on. just amazing.

love these guys, the last album was a little too metal core for me, but temptation come my way takes the best of 80's hair metal, pantera, and clutch, its badass!!!

I know the lead singer to be a fantastic singer, a wonderful young man, and a great Christian... e v e r y o n e should be behind the message these guys get out to the young folks...

Great tune. Killer guitar licks. Nice mix the drums sounds really good, I like the lower sound of the bass
