Biography
Formed in 2006 as an audio accompaniment to Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx's autobiography The Heroin Diaries, Sixx: A.M. feature the talents of Sixx, vocalist James Michael, and DJ Ashba. The 13 tracks that make up The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack coincide with the book's chapters, painting a surreal musical portrait that utilizes the over the top theatrics of the '80s hair metal and glam rock scene, spoken word pieces, electro-industrial beats, and the occasional burst of circus music to tell the tale of Sixx's rise to stardom and legendary fall from grace. They are awesome! They are even better in concert. Nikki poured his soul into this project and it shows. They rival the Crue and had more people on their feet than the Crue when I saw them together.

Agreeing with everyone else has said, this album, this BAND is really amazing. I loved them when I first heard them, then I went and got the book not too long ago; having read The Herion Diaries, I understand, appreciate, and love these songs even more than before.
Great to hear they're working on another album, too. |

This WHOLE ALBUM is BRILLIANT! Not a bad track on it! I think if I had to pick a favorite, I would probably go with Van Nuys.

I love the song Van Nuys. Life is Beautiful is pretty good, but listening to the full album it is, to say the least, and I try hard not to swear online, f**king AMAZING.
