SOJA is sooooo Jah! I felt the Jah coursing through my body when I saw these guys live at HarvestFest in 2009 south of Minneaplois MN. They got a sick sound, their horn players are RAAAW... I would see thema again in a second and need to find out where to buy their records.. Seeing them live was a definate Jah-Dropping experiance! :D
ANYONE who would hate on SOJA needs to wake up and just stop listening to reggae period because if you have hate in your heart for a band like this, your mis |

There's nothing wrong with having a beer on stage. Loosen up dude and ENJOY life. Don't be a drag.
i heard these guys are good if you like fake people, preaching the good word of Jah and then drinking beer on stage every night, BUMBACLOT RASTA FAKE MEN
These guys are GREAT. I've see them every time they come to town...they put on a really fun show. They are mellow down to earth folks too.
ya!! and the lead singer is possibly the hottest guy walking on planet earth!!!! i would f**k him in a second!!!! s**t!
Love your voice and style very much great funky reggae tunes and a great show last night in Denver with Lion Vibes.
Cheers to fun show!!! |
just saw these guys open for john brown's body in NOHO with a surprise appearance from FNB, awesome show!
SOJA is awesome to see live!! If you have a chance to see them don't miss out!!
Great music! |

Got introduced while livin in myrtle beach by my girl from VA. Been hooked on soja since.
i saw soja at the roots rock reggae concert in bmore over the summer with barrington levy, stephen marley, ziggy and jr gong.they sounded amazing live

It's funny how no matter how positive a band or what their message is trying to get across to people about unity. There is always someone that picks them apart due to race or shallow meaningless things. Either listen to the music or don't, don't b**ch about a band because of what you think their suppose to look like or where their suppose to come from.
Nope. I saw them open for FNB in Springfield, MA. It was a taping for a live DVD for the Fear Nuttin' Band. SOJA was awesome and won me over with their live performance. They also did some stuff with FNB. Those two bands contrast and compliment each other well.
To the person who said they opened for Fear Nuttin Band, thats backwards. SOJA picked up Fear Nuttin in some small town and brought them with on tour I saw them at their first show together, SOJA is the main band there.
This band is AWESOME. I was sort of a groupie of theirs in the early 00s.. I went to every local concert they did for awhile, I highly reccomend seing them at the 8x10 in bmore. best venue.. also, Jacob is a HUGE manslut. ladies beware. |
I love their music and their message and I am from the same town that they are all from and have been listening to them from the beginning..I just am wondering where they are getting their accent from?? Believe me these kids are whiter than white and have no accent...eit h e r way their music is one of a kind

reggae music isnt about race or gender or anything else. its about soul and standing true to the message of peace and kindness. its about the feeling that goes into it as well as the feeling coming out. its not even about rastafari, there are plenty of reggae bands that are not black or even rasta. love it for what it is, love, music, and a whole lot of soul.

@ccaverly: How can you be from socal and not even know the right name of the band SLIGHTLY Stoopid??? Please don't ever call yourself a true Slightly fan...aside from that I agree with your first statement. But seriously, Simply Stoopid? Really??
well put, color means nothing at all..just try listening to Simply Stoopid and you know what I mean..SOCAL
yeah really...the Great Marley himself wasn't born a Rasta
I am stupified by peoples ignorance. Reggae is music, I dont believe it has anything to do with ones skin color or where you are from. Do some research, maybe start with Robert Marley's heritage.... . 'nuff said.
This band was pretty Rootsy sounding! I liked it a lot. Just wish i was chillin' somewhere else besides work!!!!!!
in response to kindomax saying being an american and not being a jamaican makes you not qualified to be a rastafarian. all i have to say is look into our own roots. in this country you can believe in any religion and express it in any way you want, and these guys are amazing at doing just that. Mad respect to SOJA
I heard about them through pandora ............ . . . k e e p priechen rastafari knoledge pandora ...jerz=I and I
The lead singer is 27-28 years old. The 19 year old that they were mentioning is their Puerto Rican sax player who is sick nasty.
