A "stew" is slang for a brothel. The stewboss was the madame's right-hand man. He protected the madame and her girls, ejecting unruly patrons and settling disputes among the girls and their clients. The irony of his job is funny-weird: d e f e n d i n g the honor of women with little of it to defend. |

Great SOUND. What tone! But Stewboss? Not a great name for a band, especially one this good.
