Submersed
Biography
Texas hard rock/alternative metal quintet Submersed blend heavy volume with heavy issues that reflect their rugged individualism and ambition to be a "positive force for change." Formed in the late-'90s in the small town of Stephenville, the group consists of vocalist Donald Carpenter, lead guitarist/vocalist Eric Friedman, bassist Kelan Luker, guitarist TJ Davis, and drummer Garrett Whitlock. The band released In Due Time on Wind Up Records in September 2004, followed by Immortal Verses in 2007. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide
Selected Discography
Saw Eric guitar dueling with Tremonti in Shreveport, anybody know if he is going to be a permanent addition to Creed? If so, they sound so much better with him with backing vocals and supplemental guitar.

these guys were so great...and then they broke up! d##n u, music piraters! anyway, donald supposedly has a new band called million man army. someone should check 'em out.

I keep wondering how these guys had only 800 fans at breakup time, whereas the Jonas Brothers (who absolutely suck) have a couple million. Quite sad.

What a darn shame they are no more :(..What a damn waste of talent!!beca u s e of all the theft of their music and lack of sales they had to break up. sooooo sad. It sucks that our awesome bands cant stay together and make there sweet sounds because we steal their music.

i love heavy metal, but this is not that heavy.. yet this is a great band. there should be more cds and songs. the lack of them makes them a boring band after awhile
I still can't get past the fact that they're from my hometown...U s u a l l y it's been country-west e r n ppl! xD

This is the kind of music your windshield or shower walls feels the brunt of. I would often be ridiculed for singing these songs at the top of my lungs, though not with the expressed talent the lead singer has. A wonderfully influential band. Artists Prayer and Hollow are worth while songs people should check out. Whether or not they were christian shouldnt override a positive force behind their sound.

Dude Kelan's dad coaches at my old school Early. I've met Kelan at football camp when I was in 7th grade back in like 03 and he was there talkin bout Submersed. I saw his dad during the summer for weight conditioning . I was liftin with some friends. Its pretty cool now that he was famous and all

One of the best bands I've ever heard in my life. Are they christian? Along the lines of bands like 12 Stones and Cinder Road yes. Influenced by, but not completely outspokenly, christian.
Sad about the band but for posterity, the song "Answers" leads me to believe that they may not have been an openly Christian band, but were at least somewhat influenced by those beliefs.
Submersed is no more! The band left Wind-up and their name behind.
pretty sure they are Christian-Ro c k , along the same lines as Cinder Road and Pillar

This is one of the best rock bands out there right now. In Due Time is an amazing album. If you get a chance to see them live, take it, you will gain a whole new respect for them.
