Teedra Moses
Biography
Teedra Moses was born and raised in New Orleans, relocating to California with her mother following her parents' divorce. Exposed to gospel early (her mother had once been active on the Southern church revival circuit), Moses brought a little bit of that fervor to her own vocal style when she began singing professionally. Working with producer Pauli Pol, Moses released a single, Be Your Girl, on TVT Records late in 2003, following it with another, You'll Never Find (A Better Woman), early in 2004. A gifted songwriter with a sweet and sultry voice, Moses mixed a light gospel touch with timely hip-hop-inflected neo-soul on her debut album, Complex Simplicity, released in 2004, again on TVT Records. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide

Amazing voice. I have never heard of Teedra until Pandora. Her record company and publicist did a bad job. She has a nice sound and potential. I hope she will get another chance to make another album.

My favorite by her is also "Rescue Me". One day I listened to it over and over and over.
No More Tears oh my god. Has a sample at the very end. I think it was on an Outkast album (but don't quote me). Some black artist had it on their work. But maybe it wasn't even original then! The Lioness was supposed to be Teedra's second album released in 2007 or something like that. I dunno what happened. |

She has a very pretty voice, sort of reminds me of the sweetness of Minnie Riperton. I'm sure I've never heard of her because you gotta be singing about booty-shaken to make it big in the mainstream :( I'm a fan after just this one song "Take Me"

People sleep on such great artist... I wish she was with another label that really brought her beautiful voice out and let the world know that It's not just Mary J out here! I Love Teedra and her album is like that from beginning to end... I have been a fan since December 2003, I remember buying her CD and saying to myself "I want to listen to something new" and I put all my girls on it also! go ON TEEDRA do your thing!

omg. i saw teedra at this fashion show she performed called "rags to rhythm" at long beach state. She can Rock a House for reals. Her vocals are amazing live. i love love love love you teedra. i've been a fan since.

I saw her at RNB Live in LA last summer, and she rocked it. I had been a fan since 05 when I was in college in ATL. She's the truth...stil l waiting on that new album!

Yeah I agree, everybody slept on this album. One of my favorite albums of all time, you can tell she wrote and sang from the heart on this album. Very classy, but not too stiff...I love it!!!!

This has got to be one of the most under rated joints of 2004. Why did everybody sleep on her album? Teedra Moses should have almost gone platinum or something. Nice music - not too this, not too that - just good music.

I'm a big fan of hers i went and brought the cd when i first heard be your girl on the radio when i first listened to it she has more than 1 good song on there i love this cd i can relate to it.

I found Teedra on Pandora by accident, I loved her music first, then I was intrigued so I wanted to know who she was......... . . . . F I N E . . . . . . . . . . I love you Teedra. You should have better marketing sweetheart.
