The Teenagers
Biography
An irreverent, humorous bunch of scraggly neo-new wave indie rockers, the Teenagers -- Frenchmen Quentin Delafon, Dorian Dumont, and Michael Szpiner -- formed in late 2005. Initially, they formed as a joke; they created a MySpace profile for their nonexistent band and used the comments they received as the inspiration for their first lyrics (as heard on "F**k Nicole"). The Merok label signed the band and released a couple of the band's singles in 2007, including "Homecoming" (which featured "F**k Nicole" as a B-side) and "Starlett Johansson" (an obvious and typically goofy paean to actress Scarlett Johansson). The XL label released Reality Check, the band's first album, in early 2008. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
