I love these guys i see them every year at the Scotish highland games in WA state they are always amazeing!!!
I WISH I was a Scot! Damn, I LOVE bagpipes even more than I like all forms of heavy metal!

The Tempest in the bio and the Tempest for most of these albums are two different bands. From the list, Under the Blossom is the only album associated with the bio. For the 'other' Tempest go to TempestMusic (dot) com.

Tempest is a great band that deserves more publicity than it gets. Balance and Double Cross are just awesome albulms.
About the best concert you'll ever see by a group of talented musicians. Excellent recording quality, creative arrangements and just hard and fast enough. Awesome.
Didn't realize Oakland California was a center of Celtic music, however, this
is a good group!! :-) |
These guys really need to move up the coast a little bit and play in Seattle. The closest they get is September in Kelso, which is a 2:30-3 hr drive. I'd love to see them at the Showbox (the real one, not that crappy Showbox Sodo).
They're actually from Oakland, CA. I tried putting a link to their Wikipedia page, but it won't work for some reason... just search "Tempest (band)" on Wikipedia if you want the details... sorry...
Tempest has their own website where they publish their Tour schedule and sell their CD's. I love this band! I am so happy that Pandora finally got their music! I have been going to their shows for over 5 years now and they are always awesome! I moved to Colorado and am looking for a Venue so they can stop here and play. :-)
I enjoy the bagpipes keep up your mood please play more
thank you for your time. |

I heard these guys at a RenFest a few years ago and immediately bought a couple cd's. I probably would have bought more if I'd had more money. It's been tough finding them where I live, though.
I've heard good and bad things about them as a group, but their version of celtic rock is original, and fun to listen to.
being celtic is a blessing and a curse. the exact proportions elude me however..mak e s one thirsty as hell and a tad volatile....
I've been following them for about 10 years now. I've always been amazed how Leif can keep it all together with all of the lineup changes. These guys were my introduction to celtic rock and I am forever thankful! I think their best stuff was circa ~Balance, but I am a fan of heavy guitars and that's what Todd Evans brought to the table back then. Definitely a great time live.
I've seen Tempest live 4 times this year - they are AWESOME! They have tons of energy, and really have fun playing together; plus, they are super nice people.
I'm not sure about the Pogues, but Tempest is pretty much celtic rock. *Very* good celtic rock, especially if you get to see them in person. :-)
