Thousand Foot Krutch
Biography
Toronto-area Christian rockers Thousand Foot Krutch first appeared in 1997, when Trevor McNevan, Joel Bruyere, and Steve Augustine started putting a worship song spin on a rap-metal sound similar to Limp Bizkit or Korn. After building a buzz around Ontario with numerous shows, a strong demo, and thriving trade of MP3s through its website, Thousand Foot Krutch signed with Diamante and issued Set It Off, its official debut, in March 2001. The album featured a rap-rockified version of EMF's "Unbelievable," tricked out with a Christian-themed rap from McNevan. TFK jumped to the much higher profile Tooth & Nail for September 2003's Phenomenon. They'd grown up considerably in the two years since Set It Off, and the new album reflected a more focused, rocking sound. The trio joined Kutless and FM Static for a late-2003/early-2004 tour. ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide

I love The art of breaking, and Phenomenon is my favorite CD ever. I want The Flame in All of Us, but cash is tight right now.
By far, my favorite band. Thanks pandora for the awesome find! |
Fallen Lover of an Angel, I just want to say one thing; God gave us a gift with our free will. How would you feel if you had no choice in what you did? But this is a page for a band not a religious debate ring. You like Thousand Foot Krutch? Great, so do I! Let's leave it at that and not try to figure out the mind of the being who created us.

Welcome to the Masquerade, E for Extinction, The Part That Hurts The Most (Is Me), Scream, Look Away, Outta Control, Smack Down and Already Home are the ones I like on the new album.
The sacrifice was unnecessary is what I will always say so there won't be a change in mind.
Fallen, I'll leave it be too. Just let me know if you change your mind about accepting the scarifice that was made.
Yeah but, I just want him to listen. I guess I will stop now. Unless someone talks about the topic after this comment.
Fallen, you do realize that no matter how much you argue and say this is how you want things to be it's not going to change God or the way He made things right?
If it was perfect, then we wouldn't have ruined it in the first place. God is the reason we have to f**king answer. It's stupid that you rather have people who can get ruined by free will than to have people who will never be ruined. God made us. Why would he make something that can ruin something else he created? We are victims to free will that God brought upon us. God's creation is ruining lives. How can I follow someone like that? God made us as well. Why weren't we perfect?
Fallen, This goes back to part of our discussion yesterday. Originally the earth was made perfect, but we ruined it.
You don't have to abandon people to go to hell either. You can accept the scarifice that has been made for you, and then share it with everyone around you. The bottom line is that people do have free will, we can't change that, and eventually everyone will have to answer for their choices. |
It makes more sense to give someone the choice to follow him or not that he had nothing to do with creating. We may have free will but it's something that we didn't have the free will to chose to have or not. We shouldn't have needed a sacrifice if free will didn't include bad things.
We didn't ask for this repenting s**t. We didn't ask for having the ability to do bad. God "gave birth to us" Saying all of us are not his children is dumb. Only damn way to stop everyone to go to Hell is to stop letting them ruin their life. Believe me, I acknowledge my mess ups everyday but I won't be the one to abandon the people who go to Hell because they have and had a choice to do bad. God is the reason there are many that don't follow him. Why is Heaven made perfect but not Earth?
What you have to realize is that not everyone is one of God's children. Only those that accept the scarifice that Christ has made and repent are God's children. The door is open though, any one who want's to join God's family can, but it means acknowledgin g that you've messed up, and that no one but you is responsible for your actions.
Fallen, not wanting people to go to hell is a very good thing and there is a way for that to happen. Jesus Christ has died for our sins; He has already paid the price for every mistake. If anyone doesn't want to go to hell all they have to do is admit that they have sinned and accept that this scarifice was made for them, and repent (begin making an effor to live the way God wants us to). It's as simple as that.
You say learn. What kind of a sick parents test is it that if you fail, you go to Hell? Why does God want his children to have the ability to do bad things? Why are his children who don't learn, abandoned? Why are people who do good things in the world that he created shut out because they don't believe? They are helping you. Why leave them? God is responsible for people having to be responsible for their bad actions.
Giving everyone what they wanted would be fair since no one would be left out. He created it yes, but if it doesn't go his way, people are punished. Why If you are an all powerful being who creates something, shouldn't everything go right? I want people to not go to Hell. Free will prevents everyone to do so because people will do bad things. I'm sick and tired of souls becoming blackened by the freedom to do bad. I want peace on Earth damn it. If I go to Hell for my outbursts, so be it.
As for a Good King tries to make everyone happy. Take a second and really consider that. Think about how much worst things would be if everyone was given whatever they wanted. A Good King is fair, and being fair means holding everyone to the same standard. That standard is here Exodus 20:1-18
Fallen, you are completely right. Free will is the reason why so many bad and good things happen. But the very essence of free will is a person's ability to choose. Saying it's God's fault is the same as saying that people are not responsible for their actions. Whether you want to admit it or not every person is responsible for their own actions. And there will come a day when everyone will have to give an account for their actions.
a parent also knows that thier child has to learn some things on his/her own
wow I didn't know that you were able to understand the logic of a supreme being! That's impressive, listen dude no one knows why God does some of the things that he does but I garrantee it's not out of spite, stupidity, or the fact he can't accept something. And the bit about "Good free will" it's a double negative, there's no such thing if the only free will we had was good it wouldn't be free will at all, it would be puppetry. Also, God is not part of our universe, he CREATED it he operates on
A good king, keeps order and tries to make everyone happy within his power. God doesn't. God just watches as his world gets f**ked. God doesn't want to accept failure and that's why people go to Hell because he can't accept that free will is the reason people can do bad things.
Free will is more important than human souls? F**king great. So you like that people can choose to do bad things? Free will has made people be able to do bad things. A loving God invention my a**. It's God's fault people go down the wrong path. People become victimized by free will's ability to do bad things or good things. Peace will never come because there will always be people who will do bad things because they have the freedom to do so.
if he inter feard that woud distory our free will and then we would not be human
A parent protects their kids from harm with all the power they have, yet God who can do anything, allows people to fall into harm. God lets things go on while people for many years have suffered. If God likes what is going on or has happened in the world, then there must be something wrong with him.
Yeah, but God made all the rules. We came from him, didn't we? But still, it's not our fault we go to Hell. He allows us to make good or bad decisions. If someone is good and has the power to create perfect beings, why didn't he use it on us? We are part of his universe, therefore we are part of him. Making people the way he did, it's his fault if someone doesn't love him. Human parents don't have the power to give birth to a child who will never do wrong. God does and he didn't use it.
