Tito Nieves
Biography
Born in Puerto Rico but raised in the U.S., Tito Nieves (born Humberto Nieves) began his career while participating in Cimarron, a New York-based orchestra. He then teamed up with Héctor Lavoe in 1977 and joined Conjunto Clásico soon after. Tito Nieves decided to start his solo career in 1986, setting himself apart by singing salsa in English. He became a chart-topper in 1997 with a song called "I Like It Like That." Among his key albums are 1988's Classic, 1989's Yo Quiero Cantar, 2004's Fabricando Fantasias, and 2006's Hoy, Manana y Siempre. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide

Tito is one of the great ones, but to call him one of the greatest is over speaking.. for one thing he's all about salsa romantica totally different from the REAL salsa. Here we talk about Hector Lavoe,tito Rojas Cheo Feliciano Tito rodrigues.. Don't get me wrong Tito is beter than good but not a true salsero.. Listen to these other artist and you'll here what im talking about

Hello everyone, I was so glad to find this website where you can great music such as Tito Nieves one of the greatest singer around! Now I got a question for everyone, Does anybody have a copy of a cd that he recorded in the early to mid 90's called Dejame Vivir.It could of been earlier era than that. I'm not sure. I've looked for it everywhere and I can't find a copy. I went to the record stores to see if they I could order it, but no luck. The recording company doesn't have it anymore.

Tito is one of the top Salsa singers to come out of NY city .
I dont think he's ever made a album .if you love Salsa then you have to have at least one of his albums in your player. |
