Biography
New Jersey-based gospel singer, songwriter, choir director, and multi-instrumentalist Tye Tribbett formed the ensemble Tye Tribbett & Greater Anointing, or G.A., in the late '90s. The group was asked to back country superstar Faith Hill on her tour in 2000, resulting in a flurry of appearances and recording work with everyone from Will Smith, Usher, and Mary Mary to Don Henley, Justin Timberlake, and Sting. Their first official recording, "Let Go, Let God" appeared on Dreamworks' Prince of Egypt compilation in 1998. The live recordings Life and Victory Live followed in 2004 and 2006 on Columbia Records/Sony Gospel. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide

I had the joy of seeing Tye Tribbett and GA at the Essesence Fest and they are a "underrepres e n t e d " if that's even a word! What I'm trying to say is everyone blows up Kirk Franklin--lo v e him too...but Tye and his Fam have soooo much engery and the anointing was all over them when they song. He shared before they song and shared what he gets out of the word...its good to see young people praising the Lord. And the teenagers... y o u n g men about 6'3 6'6 jumping up and down praising the Lord...wow jus

What an awesome Man of God! He has touched many and will continue to reach more! I love the way you cannot really classify his music, except to say it is "Kingdom Music". He and his projects are truly anointed by God. He has something for all...young folks and seasoned folks as well! My two and seven year old can probably sing every word on every album. Go get Stand Out...you will be blessed!
