Velvet Acid Christ
Biography
With their origins rooting back all the way to their high school electronics class, Velvet Acid Christ got their start in 1990 under the original "Cyberchrist," but changed it in dedication to an alleged acid trip gone bad. Comprising two core members Bryan (Erickson) and Chris (last name unavailable), Velvet Acid Christ represent the grimmer aspect of social issues that surround their environment, to the soundtrack of darkened industrial metal. With topics that include animal rights, the environment and the technological advances overwhelming mankind, Velvet Acid Christ are a warning signal that's been going off since the debut of their self-titled 1994 full-length. Following a deal with Pendragon Records not too long afterwards, the label eventually released a compilation of all their demo and single tracks entitled Neuralblastoma and their follow-up, 1997's Calling Ov the Dead. With Velvet Acid Christ's next move to Metropolis Records in 1998, their Fun with Drugs EP was released the next year followed by their third album Fun with Knives and then the Fun with Razors EP. I like Velvet Acid Christ, they aren't my favorite, but they are definitely top four. Even though some of their songs are hit-or-miss.

Comparing this EPIC band to NIN and ANY OTHER INDUSTRIAL BAND IN EXISTENCE will get you shot, survivors will be shot twice.
Only Pandora is allowed to tell you what VAC is compared to >_>. I've been following this band since I saw a fan video on Youtube, I can't express in words how wonderful this band is. It's so original, so outspoken, and so utterly mind blowing that you KNOW Hexfix has a good head on his shoulders, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW CD ;-;, I want to listen to it SO VERY BADLY. |

I've only heard "Pretty Toy" & "Hypoxia" & really like those. I like these guys, they're creepy like NIN.

Hit-or-miss. Songs like "Pretty Toy" and "Fun With Knives" keep the creepy industrial appeal, but songs like "Dead Flesh" and a few others from "Between the Eyes Vol. 3" are so poorly written that it's frutrating. One can't be great all the time I suppose.

I personally think there good, but i found out ther for animal rights. I wonder if there just wanting animals to be treated as best as possible;whi c h aint so bad.I really hope there not some phsyco PETA members becuase that would really hurt them in my eyes

First time I heard them was at a club they were playing at in 2000. I have been hooked ever since!

I've notaced with VAC it seems hit or miss. Like one album will be great and then the next will suck. It's just my opion but you never know what you'll get with VAC!

I bought Calling ov the Dead when it came out and thought it sucked. Never listened to them again until Pandora. I'm glad they don't suck any more.

I'm listening to DEAD TOMORROW. Just my speed. Very, very fast. Oh, so clean. They wrote this one just for me, I think..... This is the speed I run at, in winter, when I'm happy.

I've been listening to these guys for years and it is still fun to put in a cd and listen to what it has to say, and you have to love the impact of their beats.

12 Monkeys is in another one; you can hear clips of Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis' conversation in the asylum. Would love to know where he gets all of his samples from. (Also wish he would tour again...)
