Wax Tailor
Biography
The trip-hop performance moniker of one Jean-Christophe Le Saoƻt, Wax Tailor first emerged in the French electronica scene in 2004 (with the EP release Lost the Way), but didn't release his debut album until 2006. That debut, Tales of the Forgotten Melodies, was a hit both in France and in the United States, garnering numerous iTunes sales, as well as making quite a dent on the CMJ charts that year. In 2007, Wax Tailor returned to the spotlight with his second full-length, Hope & Sorrow. Featuring vocalist Charlotte Savary and Ursula Rucker, this second album was enough of a success to warrant a number of live shows featuring Wax Tailor and his four-piece band. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide

To patrick.brum l e y , No that is not Cee Lo Green on "How I feel", you're not cray though. It's a sample of a 1965 song "Feeling Good" sang by Nina Simone. It's an amazing mix by Wax Tailor for sure.

One of the best of our time. My homie put this on when we were painting and it was one of those CD's that I had to stop what I was doing, "who the f**k is this?".

I love wax tailor. I got to see him perform live and he was amazing. He brought some singers, a flutist and a cellist mainly from the album hope and sorrow. Awesome performer and great chilling out music.

I agree with nuckieboy. It sounds like all of the pieces
of this track were just there and he put every part exactly where it belonged. It couldn't have gone any other way. |
