Whitechapel
Biography
Formed in 2006 by Phil Bozeman, Brandon Cagle, and Ben Savage, tech-heavy Knoxville, TN-based death metal outfit Whitechapel (named for the London neighborhood where the notorious Jack the Ripper disposed of most of his victims) blend grindcore, hardcore, and black metal into an unholy trinity of audio violence. The band's 2006 self-produced EP led to a European record deal with the Siege of Amida label, a distribution deal with Candlelight, and eventually a signing with Metal Blade for 2008's full-length This Is Exile. The current lineup includes Bozeman on vocals, Savage on lead guitar, Gabe Crisp on bass, Kevin Lane on drums, and dual guitarists Alex Wade and Zach Householder. ~ James Christopher Monger, All Music Guide

i agree....the vocals sometimes lose the flow of the song..but when theyre on..theyre f**king awesome....
i think the guy sings kinda too fast i like the solid heavy screams not the fast a** screams sounds s**tty other than that white chapel is the s**t
i dont know what kind of crack you guys smoke, but i just saw these guys live, and they kicked a**...the sound was awesome...ve r y easy ti decipher each song....and phil was awesome live as well...
i agree this band blows live but i like listening to the studio album. really a god awful band live never see them live.
Whitechapel is a solid band but like skinless said, live they just dont sound like whitechapel. . . . Sounds like they are playing a differnt bands material. And by that i mean their vocalist cant even get nearly as low as he does on the album and you can barely hear their 3 guitarists. The drummer still brutalizes tho...
i would still like to see them live. it would be a fun concert.
i f**king love this band but... winds of plague!!!!!! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! l o o k em' up

"OMG, this is.......TRU E METAL! I'm going to delete all my other stations now." What are you doing today to promote TRUE metal? |
Baron: Very true, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Pantera and other metal bands of that era are still probably the best metal bands. They pioneered today's metal so you can't deny that they have true musical talent. And no, not the heaviest band. Suicide Silence isn't as heavy as you think they are but they are still badass and Job For A Cowboy sucks now that they are way to mainstream. Some of the heaviest metal bands of all time have to be C**k And Ball Torture, Canibal Corpse, Nile, and more recent band
oh, disturbed is poo! Nah, scratch that; a poo poo particle.
But you hit it on the head with suicide silence. I like their old s**t better the new CD is allriightt.. |
Vicer Exciser, Ear to Ear, and Eternal Refuge are my favess
that's my girlcore haha ;D gotta love me! -bre |
but job for a cowboy on the other hand i respect you for that one best band in my book
disturbed is sellout b**ch metal and if you think that they are heavy you need your ears checked out man
I still have to give the title of "greatest metal band around" to Slayer....yo u simple cannot look past them if you consider yourself a metalhead... b u t this band is tasty, for sure.
Heaviest band....eh, maybe, there up there with Suicide Silence JOB for Cow, Through the eyes of the dead....oh and lets not forget Disturbed too.... |
pretty decent. "death core" ??? i'm not sure of today's genres of metal. it all sounds like metal to me. this sounds fairly good. at least they don't have singing parts. i could do without his cackily "want to be carcass" voice though.
these guys are the soundtrack to a mass murder, rape , slaughtering session , and rotting corpses. f**king awesome!! BROOOOOOTAL!
"sew the lips shut below your waist.... YOU'LL NEVER F**K AGAIN!!!" |
does anyone else agree with me that these guys are NOT a band that would fit into the deathcore "category"? All I hear is some fantastic deathmetal
Another sick student of OZZY. OZZY has not cut of his fan mail yet,
like Ringo did. |
Some of the best technical metal I've ever heard. Good mix of hard guitars and light electronic mixing.
