Selected Discography
Well, if you don't care for the singer, listen to metallica... . W h i t f i e l d Crane was awesome in his own right. Anybody remember Ugly Kid Joe? cool thrash band.

Some misunderstan d a cover tune, it should reflect individualit y while remaining true to the original.I think this did. The guitar solo certainly had tones of Suicidal Tendencies, and that's not bad. Good cover in all, though I agree the vocals could have been better.

Interesting. I appreciate the efffort but it's just not as good as the original. How e v e r , it was better than the new crap that Metallica plays
The solo is solid but NOWHERE near the caliber as Kirk. Oh well though, not a bad cover. Just not Metallica!
Can't touch the original, but I enjoyed this version too. Probably because I like Whitfield Crane and his work in Ugly Kid Joe
I feel like Lars, and Mark definately hit the notes on a more consistent level of execution... . w h e n i listen to a certain song forever a certain way i start to appreciate the little things from the original "master of puppets" that the tribute or other bands can't replicate.

"Yes, but so is James, as well as 90% of good metal. Listen to some Motorhead and tell me Lemmy didn't eat gravel for breakfast."
I understand what you are saying, but when you are used to a song in one fashion, and the "tribute" band changes it in such a way as these guys did, it is a little depressing. I wasn't paying attention, and as soon as the song came on, I had to shut it off. |
i was listening to 'master of puppets'
and i just didnt like the way the singer sang 'master' because he sounded like a French dude. i just had to skip |
remixed instruments are interesting, but more could probably have been done. the vocals unfortunatel y suck however.
the guitars are the only thing in this cover that i can appreciate, the vocals are causing me to be a little nauseated
The vocals sound like a cross between Alice Cooper and Hetfield at best. What is this crap? How about something original? Right, it's a tribute... so how come Alice isn't getting any credits?

"I found the vocal differences a little grating"
Yes, but so is James, as well as 90% of good metal. Listen to some Motorhead and tell me Lemmy didn't eat gravel for breakfast. |
C'mon now f**kin Rocky George is one of the baddest a** guitarist to exist in this world HORNS UP! ROCKY!
Hmm, hadn't heard this one. The lead guitar is the only thing in this that really has any of its own value. It's hard to hear it with clean ears after hearing the original hundreds of times. I found the vocal differences a little grating.
Probably a fun act to see live. |
It would still be great if it was their song originally, but Metallica's is so much better.
seriosly. your and idiot hell no the solos mest up the voice is stupid. it iz not btr and it never will b.
I thought the song Master of Puppets on this one was better than the original :)
This cover is actually pretty good and I say that because I've heard other covers that sound like someone taking a massive dump!
I didnt think it was that bad! but they surely didnt do metallica much justice.
solo in master of puppets is sooooooooooo o o weak. but overall not a bad cover
I thought it could've been produced better. and Lars Ulrich hits WAY more notes than this guy!!!
master of puppets iz way better than the cover. and iz WC, RG, RC and MI a real band? or just a group uv guys plaing this song?
