Biography
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Zac Brown grew up in Dahlonega, GA, and performed as a solo artist for a number of years before founding the Zac Brown Band in Atlanta in 2004, the group's initial members also including John Hopkins (bass) and Jimmy De Martini (fiddle), with Coy Bowles (guitar, organ) and Chris Fryar (drums) joining later. The group tours extensively, and has opened for the Allman Brothers Band, Etta James, B.B. King, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Willie Nelson, Sugarland, Travis Tritt, and ZZ Top. The Zac Brown Band self-released their debut album, Home Grown, on December 16, 2005. Live from the Rock Bus Tour followed on January 3, 2007. The group's third album, The Foundation, was scheduled for release on November 18, 2008. ~ William Ruhlmann, All Music Guide

Saw them in Boston. Not quite the home of country music :-) Zac and the band came out and played with all of the "special guests" They played for 4 hours. Great music and fun crowd.

absolutely love this band, saw them at music city and they were amazing and very down to earth. I hope they stay that way because most dont and there is nothin i hate more then stars who forget where they came from and how quickly they could go back if not for fans who love them.

Saw ZBB recently at the House of Blues in Cleveland. It was one of the best shows I have EVER seen. They are truly talented, and I can't wait to hear more from them.

I used to watch Zac at Dixies in Marietta GA when he played as a duet (Far From Einstyne)bac k in the 2001-2002. Zac could always play something that would get the crowd into his show.

hardly even country to me, more like a southern rock jam band with a country accent, see 'em live and dare to disagree. These guys absolutely ROCK!

I really wish that they would release a recording of their version of Devil Went down to Georgia! Hearing them play that live was the best I have ever heard that song and not to mention the fastest I have ever heard that song!

I have seen these guys up close in a Georgia bar and man they are amazing in person! There is nothing these guys can't do!

great album. Chicken Fried is only about a quarter of how good these guys are. the whole album, top to bottom, excellent. Plus I here they're awesome live. Get the album, you won't be disappointed .
