The singer hits some high notes that irk me a bit, but other than that I like this. They have some very cool songs.
This next line may displease those very christian types, so ignore it if you see fit: Personally I believe if something has taken hold of you to the point that you shun and even fear outside influence, it has become corrupting. I think part of being pure is knowing why sin is such a bad thing, but I think someone who shuts something out just because they're told to is a fool. |

Wow! I can't believe these guys are from my hometown of Brooklyn, NY. I love Dragon's Hoard. I think I'll look into these guys.

Ya about the "Are they christian" comment. I'm religious and I listen to metal. Will I listen to stuff like black metal, no, but metal itself isn't bad... Also if you do want some good christian metal get Seventh Avenue, Seven Angels, Adiastasia, and Avian. The band Avian isn't christian/re l i g o u s per se, but the lead singer is and their latest album has a great deep theme to it. Anyway, enjoy. Also out of the ones I listed I'd say Avian is the best.

The "Further to the South there lived a king named Hrothgar" section of Ancient Tale of Valor is arguably the most badass metal moment in Vengeance Rising.

the riff is actually something new to me! not something i can say about a lot of power metal bands.
