Zeromancer
Biography
Industrial metal group Zeromancer, which features members of kidneythieves and Prick, is Alex Moklebust (vocals), Chris Schleyer (guitar), Erik Ljunggren (programming), Kim Ljung (bass) and Noralf Ronthi (drums). The band won the award for best newcomer of 2000 at the German Alternative Music Awards. In fall 2001, Zeromancer released Eurotrash, followed by the U.S. reissue of Clone Your Lover in March 2003, which was supported by a tour with Pigface and My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult. ~ Kenyon Hopkin, All Music Guide
Selected Discography
I still have some of the early unreleased stuff that I jacked off a website back in the late nineties (it is the s**ts) but the studio music lacks depth and quality. Another band that puts money and fame ahead of music and art.

Eurotrash and Clone Your Lover are my favorite albums from them. Zzyzx was good, but it seemed to much like rock music and sounded like other bands, not Zeromancer. I liked their older, more techno-y music :)
Zzyzx is much more radio friendly... I have all three albums and I have to say I like Zzyzx the best. Everyone who hears that album at my house asks who it is. The other albums are good, don't get me wrong, but Zzyzx seems more refined and "technically " better written, recorded and structured. Just my two cents.

Been a fan since clone your lover but hated the album zzyzx. That album was just to.....well it just didn't seem like them it was missing a lot.
Everytime I hear one of their songs I think it's somebody else. This last time I was like "oh hey cool a Pitchshifter song I don't know."
Not sure that I'd call it cutting edge... more like two day old leftovers that haven't spoiled yet but just isn't nearly as good as when it was new. |
Love this group. Very cutting edge. Orgy meets NIN then has sex with Filter in Dope's bedroom. Hell yeah...
Maybe I was harsh before. Categories aside it's not bad music. Eurotrash (what I've heard at least) is very Dope/apartme n t 2 6 .
Not really as heavy as what I'm used to, compared to their "similar artists", but still pretty good.
Filter called - they want their sound back. Background vox and keyboard does not make a band Industrial.
Sometimes you should listen to music because you like the music, not because you like the genre. That is the most pleasing way to listen to anything, and until Bill W gets over genre titles, he won't truly enjoy anything 'Industrial Metal'
Not bad, a little like Girls Under Glass. Some s**t ROCKS and others not bad
bill w, whatever. they're an amazing band!! idk what you're talking about!

If you like the harder stuff from Clone Your Lover you should check out guitarist Chris Schleyer's solo stuff. Its not on Pandora (and neither is his former band Prick but Kidneytheiev e s is) but you can find it on Myspace and Last FM. He's such an amazing guitar player...sha m e l e s s plug I know, but you got to spread the word somehow!
Don't know when, but a new album will come out titled "Sinners Internationa l " . Can't wait.
Mosquito Coil, very cool.
I am liking industrial metal more and more. |

I love Zeromancer, hee! |

Great stuff!
You guys should check out Alex Moklebust, Kim Ljung & Noralf Ronthi's old band Seigmen. Their best album was Total. Their music starts as gothic metal and ends up as dark melancholic rock with their latest albums. |
Some selected good stuff with these guys. Don't forget "Flirt with me."
They remind me of a cross between Manson, Orgy, and KoRn. All good things. Just wish I had heard of them before today. I feel deprived.
All right! 'Need You Like a Drug'!! This band is AWESOME!! BTW, am up to 705 songs now.
Yea I agree, I ran into a few of their songs on a random industrial streaming audio thing and was impressed. It wasn't until just now that I found out that they contain member(s) from Prick... I really enjoyed that album they did back in the day! Go Go Gadget Pandora :P
I like both Zeromancer and She Wants Revenge; just 2 of the 250 (+/-) bands on MY list.
If you like industrial rock at all, this band is a must. Perhaps even a mainstay.
