In order to make a place for his latter day revelations, as they are called, Joseph Smith had to attack the confidence of people in the Bible. One of the ways this was done was by the insertion of the following in the Book of Mormon, I Nephi 13:24-29

i don't know much about Mormonism, but i believe that Jesus was God's son, and came down to die for all of our sins, and rose from the dead three days later.
if Mormonism doesn't support that belief that came from the Bible, i don't believe in Mormonism. that's all i know. |

But the Book of Mormon doesn't support what is the Bible. The Bible teaches the doctrine of the Trinity; God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. In Mormonism Jesus is JUST an exulted MAN. Mormons teach that WE SHOULD ALL ASPIRE TO BE GODS. Yes, they do. Mormons deny that Christ died for ALL their sins; there are some sins--murder for example--tha t the Mormons teach can only be atoned for if YOU spill your own blood. Mormonism is a cult.

If you believe in what elise has said, than there would be no objections to receiving another testament. Why object to another testament from our Father in Heaven? I know that I'm definitely going to look into that! And if the Book of Mormon supports what is in the Bible, then that is something to be happy about and not look down upon.

If you ignore the mormon part, elise is right. But we don't need another testament. The original Bible is complete and sufficient.
