Its one of those songs that finds something inside of you and touch you in a way that people cannot explain. But over all its a nice song.

I looooove this song sooo much! It makes me feel good when I'm down (like right now).

Not a fan of Billy Joel, but there's something about this song... No one could possibly hate this song.

Anyone Who Doesnt Like The Song Is:
A:GAY B:DUMB C:CRAZY D:WOULDN'T KNOW MUSIC IF IT BIT YOU ON THE BUTT |

And if you ever get a chance to hear Billy in concert, he always uses this as his encore - at one point he stops singing, and there are 10,000 people singing to him, "Sing us a song, you're the piano man..." It still gives me chills!

Gee, Matthew - I've never thought this song was sad! To me it's about someone on his way up, lightening the lives of those around him. How cool must it be for the folks he writes about in this song to know that they're immortalized in this way?

Yeah this song came up on my Avenged Sevenfold station too. The only A7X song I can see this being similar to is "A Little Piece of Heaven," maybe that's why it's on this station.

i like billy joel, but why is this song playing on my Avenged Sevenfold station?

Is there a sadder song in the world: futility, despair, just caught in a circumstance that you can't get out of. Always makes me want to cry when I hear it.

This will be the first Billy Joel song I add to my collection. I expect there will be many more.

Billy (to me) is much to great for words. Lullubye(Goo d n i g h t My Angel) makes me cry every time I hear it... -.-

No matter what mood I'm in, whenever this song comes on, my day get's toe tapping better. It's definately in this shower-singi n g (okay, caterwauling ) girl's top 10 songs of all time.

This song is as close to the perfect American rock song as has ever been written.... I love Billy Joel's whole catalog (he is probably my all-time favorite artist), but Piano Man may very well be the best song he's ever written. It just never gets old.

I always liked the song. I always thought he played the piano well in most all his songs.
